Horizontal process mixers are designed for batch processing of powders, granules, flakes, and semi-solid materials. The mixer consists of a U-shaped or O-shaped trough with rotating mixing elements mounted on a horizontal shaft.
The horizontal configuration allows high-efficiency material circulation along the length of the mixing chamber, producing rapid and uniform mixing.

Material movement inside the mixer typically involves axial flow along the vessel length combined with radial and tangential particle movement, resulting in three-dimensional mixing.

Jacketed	The mixing vessel can be equipped with a heating or cooling jacket for temperature-controlled mixing processes such as coating, drying, or chemical reactions.
